Solved - Autodesk 0xc000142 error | This application was unable to start correctly (0xc000142). Click OK to close the application

Lots of time when we are using any product or software of Autodesk, we get an application error saying "This application was unable to start correctly (0xc000142). Click OK to close the application." This error pops up because your version of Autodesk is not compatible with the version of your windows operating system. In order to solve this follow this steps -

     1. Go to https://www.autodesk.com/

     2. Go to products and select your product (or software). You can also visit directly https://www.autodesk.com/products and search or select your product.

     3. Open Support and Learning from the product page.

     4. Open Downloads.

5. Now download the service pack updates and restart your product. That's it. You won't get 0xc000142 error now. Still getting error. Mention in comments and we will try to find a better solution.

Samsung Galaxy On8 - First Look on Features

Samsung Galaxy On8 has been launched on Flipkart and will be available to buy from 2nd October. Flipkart's Big Billion Days are starting from 2nd and will run till 5th of October. Also, the Great Indian Festival Week will be starting on Amazon from 1st to 5th October. So, let's hope this time also Flipkart brings as great offers as it did last year and we enjoy shopping with great deals.

Let us now look at Samsung Galaxy On8's features. First thing is it is a 4G LTE supported phone. So, if you are thinking of buying a Reliance JIO sim this mobile might be a good option. Samsung Galaxy On8 has android version 6.0 marshmallow. Its sale is starting on 2nd October from 11:59pm. Its price is Rs. 15900.

On8 has Super AMOLED display. No other Samsung On series device has this type of display. Super AMOLED displays gives more saturated picture and you get a more brighter view compared to LCD display. And also, AMOLED displays saves battery to some extent. 

Display resolution is Full HD so you can enjoy 1080p videos and movies without any lag. Internal storage is 16 GB and external storage is expandable up to 128 GB. 3 GB RAM is provided with 1.6 GHz Octa-Core Processor. So, performance wise it is good and also multitasking is better.

Rear and Front both camera are provided with LED flash. Rear camera is 13 MP and front is 5 MP. It supports Full HD video recording and you can record 1920 x 1080 videos at 30 fps frame rate. Some people have doubt that this phone has a built -in batter. But no. It has removable battery only. Battery capacity is 3300 mAh which will do good on heavy use. But according to us, MI phones are better and more reliable. Nothing can beat MI phones when it comes to price to performance factor.

As always, you will get one year manufacturing warranty and it is a dual sim phone. You will get earphone, user manual, handset and adaptor in the box and it is available in three colours Black, White and Gold. 

In a way, it is just nothing but Samsung's J7. Samsung has just made two changes in J7 and gave it name of On8. J7 has 2 GB RAM, On8 has 3 GB. J7 has HD display, On8 has Full HD display. All other features are almost same. 

Conclusion :-

According to us, it is not that great phone when comes to price. Unless you want a 4G device with quite OK battery and performance, we think you should either wait or consider any other option. New Messaging App by Google | Allo : First Look

So, Google has just released a very new messaging app called ALLO. (Could have given a better name I guess. Like think how hard it would be to say, Hey there! I am on Allo. Just Kidding). If you still haven't downloaded go to playstore and directly download it or you can follow below link.

Let's see, how is the App and what new Google has brought on the table. As always you will need to sign up with a phone number. An OTP will be sent to your phone and once the App detects the OTP, you will sign up successfully. Upload a good display picture and enter your name. 

Here's the home screen of Allo. You will see two things: Google Assitant and Start a Group Chat. Google Assistant is pretty interesting feature so we will talk about it later. First let us go through the basic features.

On tapping New Chat, all your contacts will show up. If any of you contact is not on Allo and still you send him message, he will receive it in hi default messaging box. And if he replies, then that message will be delivered to you in your Allo App. But on testing, we found that this feature only works in some devices. Messages are not delivering in other devices. Keep in mind that if you invite your friends directly, you will be charged per sms unlike WeChat and Hike in which you can invite for free.

Lets now see Chat Interface. It is awesome as far as look is concerned. There are lots of emoticons just like WhatsApp. There is an option for voice messages and you can send pics and videos directly or by selecting from Gallery. Google has also added stickers. Although stickers are not as good as Hike's but still lets wait till Google starts to update it. One thing still missing here is the option to send documents. Yes, you can't send pdf, doc or any other file in Allo. Or maybe Google just postponed that feature for sometime and will release soon. This was all about basic feature. Let's talk new about what new Google has added. 

As shown in the above picture, if you type something and tap and hold on the send button you can increase or decrease the size of it. Pretty interesting right! You can do same thing with emoticons also. Second thing is Auto Reply Suggestions. Google just shows you some most common replies to respond to messages so that you don't have to type it all. Suppose you ask News today, then it will ask you which news you want. Like Business, Sports, Entertainment, etc. You can also rate these suggestions so that Google can give you better choices next time. Obviously, it will only give good results with English language only.

Lets talk about now one of the best feature of Allo i.e. Google Assistant. So guys, what is Google? In simple words, Google is something which gives us results for our queries in shortest possible time. With Google Assistant, that time would now be even less. Google Assistant helps you to browse through search results in the App only. Suppose for e.g. you ask it about Movie Showtimes in your city. It will look on web about it and will return results in the App itself within seconds. So, you don't have to go to other App or open your browser.  But these results are sometimes not that accurate and that is why Google gave you option to rate them. Thumbs down them and give little details about what was wrong and probably Google will show you better results next time. You can also use Google Assistant feature in private chat or group chat. All you have to do is type @ and select google in it. Now type your question and you see your results within seconds. 

One more thing to keep in mind is to turn off the automatic download option of media from settings once you sign in to save your mobile data. Of course, if your are on JIO network, who can stop you? :-)So this was first look on the new messaging app of Google. We liked this App very much. Apart from the document sharing option all the features are quite good with awesome UI. And maybe Google Assistant feature turns out to be one of the coolest feature of this year. Who knows. Still as far as messaging is concerned, WhatsApp is best. Allo can easily defeat Facebook messenger but the real competition is with WhatsApp. Lets see how people responds to this. 

Why Samsung Galaxy Note 7 handsets are catching flames? Possible Reasons.

It's more than a month about the news of Samsung Galaxy Note 7 blasting and catching fire. You plug the phone to charge, and bamm. Within hours either you start smelling smoke or you hear a blast. 

What are the possible reasons behind this? Let's have a look on them. 

Blasting of phone's battery isn't any new news. We have been hearing about such incidents since a decade. Earlier it was Nokia Phones. If you could recall, in those time BL-5C Batteries of Nokia phones were catching fire. Then, news of Galaxy Core blasting were coming. And now same thing is going on with Galaxy Note 7.

The simplest reason for this is short circuit in the battery. Almost all phones use Lithium-Ion Batteries. This batteries work on electrolytic principle. We used to study about this in school. There is an electrolytic solution in which two electrodes: Anode and Cathode are dipped. Chemical reactions occur and electrons start accumulating on Anode. Due to this an electric difference is created between Anode and Cathode. So electrons try to rearrange themselves and move to cathode.

But electrons don't go to cathode straightaway because this motion is restricted by the electrolytic solution. When a wire is connected between the Cathode and Anode, the circuit gets completed and electrons move to cathode through that wire. Hence, we get a potential difference.

The electrolytic solution used in Lithium-Ion batteries is very flammable and can catch fire easily. There is a very thin layer between positive and negative side in the battery which keeps them separate. If somehow this thin layer gets punctured, short-circuit happens and the resistance at this point will be very less for electricity to flow. Due to this, the flammable liquid in electrolyte starts heating at that point and if the heat increase is too rapid, the battery explodes. 

So why use Lithium-Ion Batteries if the electrolyte used in them is so flammable? The answer is - Because Lithium-Ion batteries are more compact and can be made lightweight compared to others. So, a possible reason for the exploding of batteries could be that during manufacturing, the batteries might have been squeezed too much to keep it compact. As Samsung has said "It's a manufacturing defect."

According to one report of Bloomberg, during manufacturing of Samsung batteries, the pressure given on them was to high due to which negative and positive poles came in contact. And in simple words, the thin layer between them got punctured which led to short-circuit and eventually a blast.

This could be a possible reason for explosion. We still have to wait for official statement of Samsung for actual reason. Samsung had made somewhat about 2.5 million handsets out which 1 million were already sold. Although Samsung, has recalled all its sold Note 7s and has stopped its shipment and sales.

But according to a report by Yonhap News, this manufacturing defect was only present in 0.01% of total manufactured handsets which tells that the defected handsets were less than 1000. So, lets wait for Samsung's Official Statement to know more about this.

Fix - Ezvid Not Working, Windows is checking for Solution

So, you use Ezvid to record stuff on your PC. You must have faced this at least once if you have been using Ezvid for quite some time. Even after reinstalling it, the error won't go.

Below method has solved "Ezvid not working" error for like 45% of people facing it. It may or may not work for you. If it doesn't then follow next steps. Try every step in the order they are written. If all of those steps also fail to solve this error, then you should consider using some other recording software.

Solution 1:-

Go to Start > Control Panel > Turn Windows features On or Off.

Check the box of Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.1 (version may be different). The box containing blue square in it means that the feature is ON. Check this video for reference.


Once the box is checked click OK. It will take some time to respond.

     4.Download Ezvid directly from this page. NOT FROM ANY OTHER SOURCE.

How to Make Bootable Pen Drive/Flash Drive

How would you install a new operating system if your PCs CD or DVD drive is not working? Or say you have setup file but don't want to burn it on the DVD.

Well there is a very simple way to do this. It will save your money of integrating new CD/DVD drive and the best thing is, its all free and can be done in few minutes only. Just make a bootable pen drive. You can use it without any hassle to install new operating system. Follow this steps:-

Step 1:- First of all insert your pen drive into PC and format it. Now go to https://wintoflash.com/download/en/ and download the software. Install it. It is an open source software. Also, copy setup of windows in your PC/Laptop before using this.


Step 2:- Now open it and select the wizard mode.



Step 3:- Browse to the setup file of your operating system. If its an ISO file, check the mark below.



Step 4:- Browse to the drive of your pen drive.

Step 5:- Just click next and let the process complete. It will take around 5-10 minutes.

Now click finish and remove your pen drive. Insert it into your PC and press ESC key to enter boot menu (compaq systems). Google search to find boot menu key for your system.
