How to Remove Black Bars from YouTube Videos in Seconds

YouTube is the third most popular website in the world after Google at first and Facebook at second. With its increasing popularity day-by-day we all have started uploading our own videos also. But most of the beginners or new creators often face problem of black bars in their video.

There's very easy and simple way to remove those black bars which will be described in this section. First of all, let us get the idea of different types of black bars on YouTube Videos.

1. Pillar boxing

This is the most common type of black bars. When black bars are at right and left of the screen, it is said to be pillar boxed.

2. Letter boxing

This is also very common. Letter boxing is when black bars are at up and bottom of the screen.

3. Window boxing

Window boxing is not very common. When black bars are seen on all four sides of screen, it is said to be window boxed.

To remove these bars, either you can render your video perfectly into 16:9 format cropping the bars in your video editor, or you can follow below steps.

This method will only work if the videos are rendered according to YouTube standards i.e.

2160p = 3840 x 2160
1440p = 2560 x 1440
1080p = 1920 x 1080
720p   = 1280 x 720
480p   = 854 x 480
360p   = 640 x 360
240p   = 426 x 240

If video is not rendered according to above resolution this method won't work. So make sure to render in proper resolution.
